A psychiatrist & New York Times best-selling author & thought leader in the field of habit change & the “science of self-mastery”
Dr. Brewer is the Director of Research & Innovation at Brown University’s Mindfulness Center, where he also serves as an associate professor in Behavioral & Social Sciences at the School of Public Health & Psychiatry at the School of Medicine at Brown University, & a research affiliate at Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT).
Dr. Brewer will describe how we can tap into the processes that encourage habitual behaviors in order to step out of them. He will explain the mechanisms of habit & addiction formation. He will also show participants how to build their own capacities of awareness, kindness, & curiosity leading to greater resilience.
